Volumes
Volumes provide persistent storage that outlives deployments and restarts.
Volume basics
Volumes are persistent disks you attach to services. They are ideal for data that should survive redeployments, such as uploads, caches, or local assets.
How volumes behave
- Volumes stay attached to a service across deployments.
- You can detach and reattach volumes to move data.
- Snapshots capture the full filesystem at a point in time.
When to use volumes
- Asset storage or generated files.
- Legacy services that require local disk state.
- Staging migrations or backup recovery workflows.
